Head of Sales - China
• Provide strategic commercial leadership to S&D team in China, including giving training, coaching, and development to the sales and distributions personnel. • Develop and implement sales strategies and action plan to achieve overall AirAsia group revenue target for China (including AirAsiaX). • Focus on maximizing the revenue from existing market segments as well as identifying and penetrating new markets of trade and corporate customers to ensure revenue target is achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
• Formulate, implement & analyze business strategies to maximize overall sales growth and profitability in line with the corporate plan of AirAsia • Secure continued growth by managing existing accounts/distribution channels and identify and implement new channels and growth opportunities with markets work with local teams • Align group initiatives • Identify and develop new channels for sales and payment • Set & Achieve sales targets • Manage S&D team in China including external partners ie Call Centre • Gather market intelligence and monitor industry developments and competitor activity in the territory • Maintain understanding of governmental and regulatory issues that can impact our business in the territory • Prepare regular report and review on sales performance with the Management on weekly and monthly basis. Candidate Specification The ideal candidate for the position should be accomplished and experienced in managerial capacity with a track record of delivering results within a competitive and fast moving industry. Education: Minimum a Degree holder Qualifications • At least six years commercial experience in sales and distribution sectors, knowledge of the aviation business is preferable • Proven track record of successful sales and client relationship management • Experience of staff management and development is an asset • Highly developed communication, negotiation, sales and presentation skills
The Person: • Applicants should be Chinese citizens or hold relevant residence status. • Fluent in written and spoken English. • Ability to understand complex business processes, technology and products and the benefit they can bring to the portfolio • A keen grasp of the economic drivers of the business and the ability to apply this knowledge, along with creativity, to drive innovative solutions and cost effective relationships • Willing and able to travel extensively • Ambitious and results-driven and able to work independently • Pleasant personality and pro-active attitude • Good interpersonal, communication and strong analytical & presentation skills • Microsoft Office application skills is a must
